- Practice finding the orienting information in news excerpts related to business and finance on pp. 173-175. Learn the new vocabulary words.
- Section 3 pp. 176-177: Read about connectors and how they can help you guess the function of different parts of the text of a news report.
- Section 4 pp. 178-184:
- Read and title the article excerpts on pp. 178-179, paying attention to the connectors and the function of each part of the text. Then list the stock exchange discussed in each excerpt and its status.
- Reread the excerpts carefully to reply to questions 1 and 2.
- Integrate the information in the articles by relating it to your own interests by responding to questions 3 and 4.
