Conversation Preparation Guides
These guides are for use in courses in the less-commonly taught languages offered by the Five College Center for World Languages. Each guide includes a section outlining preparation students should do prior to a conversation session and a section with activities to be conducted during the conversation session. The guides are rated by level using the broad categories of the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Guidelines 2012 for Speaking. The easiest guides are Novice; then Intermediate, and finally Advanced. Guides labeled as Novice/Intermediate or Intermediate/Advanced are good for students at both of the levels named and especially for those making a transition between two levels.
