Airports

The inside of an airport, with several people inside

Airports are fairly easy for travelers to navigate because signs are in both Turkish and English and quite easy to see. There are metal detectors which everyone must pass through in order to enter the terminal. Both ticketed and non-ticketed passengers are allowed in the large area of ticketing and check-in. Passengers usually arrive at the airport via taxi or the less expensive and more popular airport shuttle buses. These convenient shuttles leave from various destinations throughout the cities every 30 minutes or so. Once at the airport passengers with a lot of luggage might opt for a luggage cart or a porter to help. Porters can be rather pushy; a firm "no" will discourage them. It is common practice for security guards to question passengers in line for check-in about the standard security issues.
