Pharmacies
Prescriptions are not always necessary or even common. Physicians will often dispense medicine on the spot instead of sending a patient to the drug store. On the other hand, pharmacists will often prescribe medicines for customers based on the person's symptoms. To refill a prescription from abroad, bring a sample to the pharmacist so they can match it. Pharmacies sell contact lens cleaner and eye drops, but not toothpaste or soap. These and other hygiene items are available in supermarkets, grocery stores, and shopping malls. Also convenience stores abound and sell many types of toiletry items.
