Asking for Directions

A person giving directions to another

It is perfectly acceptable to ask anyone for directions. Note that the person giving directions will expect you to repeat what they say to indicate that you have understood. People giving directions will typically refer to roundabouts (rotaries) or crossroad intersections as landmarks. In general, asking for directions from local residents will be more reliable than trying to find up-to-date and accurate maps.
