Local Transportation
Local transportation consists of buses, trams and trolleys; the tickets are all the same. One can purchase a bus ticket or pass from a ticket booth; it is NOT possible to pay the driver in cash for the cost of the ride. After entering the bus do not forget to validate the ticket; the ticket-validating machine is located in several places on the bus. Inspectors frequently board the trains and request proof of validation. When a ticket has not been validated, there is an expensive fine. Those using a bus pass must show it to the inspector. The bus stops only at designated stations.
