Restaurants serving local cuisine feature medium-priced hot meals, desserts, and salads. Chinese, Indian, or Italian restaurants offer high quality international cuisine but tend to be more expensive. Jordan has a wide array of international fast food chains, and national fast food places sell inexpensive falafel, hummus, and foule (a fava bean dip). Also popular are shops that sell pita bread and wrap-type sandwiches "to go."
