Pharmacies sell prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and some hygiene products such as soap and toothpaste. All products are stored behind the counter. Medications such as antibiotics require a prescription, but birth-control products do not. Pharmacists will recommend over-the-counter medications for various symptoms.
