Banks and Money Exchanges
ATMs are difficult to find; one must take care of money matters at a formal institution. One can exchange dollars for rupees at a bank or at an American Express office. Shopping around for the best exchange rate is always a good idea. Small banking enterprises are as trustworthy as the larger ones. Never exchange money with people who approach visitors in the street or around the airport - it's not illegal, just ill-advised.
