In Greece, laundry is generally done at home with a washing machine and then hung out to dry. It is more common to find a washing machine than a dryer in the average home. In the cities, residents of apartment buildings hang wash out on the balcony. Many apartments come with balconies already equipped with racks for drying laundry.

Self-service laundromats are easy to find in Greece, particularly near the universities.
