At the Post Office
Foreigners can use post offices for mail services, making phone calls, and exchanging money. Both domestic and international letters need to be weighed in order to establish the amount of postage. A package should not be sealed before being taken to the post office. The package will be inspected before it is accepted. Some post offices will seal the package after; others expect a customer to bring sealing materials along. Phone booths in the post offices are the best way for a traveler to make international calls; one makes the call then pays the attendant. The post office also sells phone cards, but these are more useful for domestic calls. Money exchange rates at the post office are similar to banks and private exchanges.
