Pharmacies
There are pharmacies connected to hospitals and clinics as well as privately owned, freestanding establishments. Either type dispenses pharmaceuticals with the pharmacist serving as a diagnostician/prescriber. While strong sedatives or antibiotics might require a physician's prescription, the pharmacist normally dispenses all other medications without prescription. The cost of medicine is generally not high. Toiletries, stored behind glass, are also for sale. Pharmacies are frequently open 24 hours, and, if not, will have a posted list of locations for other open pharmacies.
