Transportation in Argentina

Long Distance Transportation

Travelers waiting to board buses at a bus station, where several buses are parked in numbered gates

The most popular form of transportation between cities is the bus. Coaches tend to be clean and comfortable with air conditioning, reclining seats, sanitized rest rooms, and food and beverages included in the price of a ticket. Buses run frequently; one can call the bus stations for information.

Privately owned trains are scheduled to run between cities but tend to be less reliable than buses. Trains run from Buenos Aires into the suburbs and are a convenience to daily commuters.
