Restrooms

Public restrooms are not common and where available not regularly cleaned. Many will be outhouse-style pit toilets. Visitors should use restrooms in hotels and larger, more up-scale restaurants. Smaller restaurants often will not have restrooms. Toilets in middle-class homes and mid-range hotels will be flat-to-the-ground in the shape of a chamber pot. One squats over the toilet. Toilet paper is rarely available. Instead a small pot filled with water is provided for washing oneself. Five-star hotels will have toilet paper and visitors who wish to carry their own toilet paper will find it in grocery shops . "Rose Petal" is a common brand name.
