Food Stores

Supermarkets are common and tend to be large in the city and smaller in outlying towns. They tend to be far more expensive than the market. One can find the usual selection of fresh produce and canned goods, dairy and meat and poultry. One can find dressed chicken in the supermarkets. Specialty shops are rare, although one will find the occasional butcher or seafood store. There are also a few chocolate shops, but not many.

Convenience stores, which sell household staples, are common in every neighborhood. The prices vary depending on the neighborhood and the owner of the store. Often convenience stores are operated out of private homes and tend to be as inexpensively priced as the markets.
