Asking for Directions

A person giving directions to another

It is perfectly acceptable to ask anyone for directions. Note that the person giving directions will expect you to repeat what s/he says to indicate that you have understood. People giving directions will typically refer to roundabouts (rotaries) and/or crossroad intersections as landmarks. In general, asking for directions from local residents will be more reliable than trying to find up-to-date and accurate maps.
