Taxi Service

A black sign that reads 'taxi'

In Spain, taxis are a popular and relatively inexpensive form of public transportation. One can check the taxi stands downtown, and if there are no cabs, one can order a cab from the nearby phone that dials directly to the cab company. One can also telephone for a taxi from home or hail a random cab on the street. Taxis run nearly twenty-four hours a day and tend to be relatively safe to use at all hours. When traveling by cab in Spain, one is not required to leave a tip.
