One must have a doctor’s prescription for antibiotics and controlled substances. A pharmacist is always available to advise a customer about which over-the-counter medication to use but is not authorized to write prescriptions.

Pharmacies have a system of rotation whereby there is always a pharmacy open for emergency customers. In each pharmacy there is a schedule posted of which pharmacies are open. Otherwise, pharmacies operate during the normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
