Italian in Italy

Laundry

A laundromat sign

In general, Italians do not use laundromats since everyone, including students, does laundry at home. Laundromats do, however, exist solely for the use of foreign travelers. The cost is frequently determined by the weight of the clothes and is considerably more expensive than in the United States. Dry cleaners, frequented by both Italians and foreigners, will occasionally launder clothes. Laundry services are always available at large hotels.
