The Post Office

A small green sign for a post office

The Hungarian Post Office is a multipurpose facility. Here one can buy stamps, envelopes and postcards; mail letters, post cards, and packages; send / receive faxes; make phone calls; cable money; deposit money to various accounts; and pay bills. The city's Main Post Office is generally open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday until noon. Smaller post offices are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The weight of the package and the kind of delivery service will determine the price. There are special rates available for books, however, each end of the package must be left open and accessible for inspection.
