Although restaurant dining is still somewhat reserved for special occasions in Hungary, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Generally restaurants are open for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. and for dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. If the establishment accepts credit cards, the credit cards will be posted on the front door; otherwise, cash is required. Tipping ten to fifteen percent is customary. Delivery services exist, but standard restaurants do not usually provide cartons for leftovers.
