Pedestrians

In a country of fairly aggressive drivers, one does not expect cars to yield to pedestrians. There are no crosswalks either in the cities or the towns. Pedestrians cross at walk lights and, even then, must pay close attention since it is not uncommon for cars to run the lights. It is slightly different in the towns or on the islands, since there are, by far, less cars. IN all situations, a pedestrian is advised to be on the alert when crossing.
