Parking

A blue sign with a 'P', indicating parking is available

Parking in small towns is often free, parallel to the street, and not in marked spaces. In larger towns and cities parking tickets or passes can be purchased at vending machines or at newspaper kiosks. You place the parking permit ticket or slip on the dashboard of your car so that it is visible from the outside. Some places have parking garages or lots where you get a ticket on the way in and pay an attendant on the way out. Cars parked where there is a no parking sign get ticketed and towed!
