Croatian in Croatia

Household Goods

A sign for a discount store

Travelers may find Croatian bookstores especially useful. In addition to books, one may find stationery, paper, pens, wrapping paper, backpacks, post cards, greeting cards, and photo albums. Newspaper stands sell magazines, gum, candy, and cigarettes with occasional postcards and greeting cards. Go to a photo shop for film, camera supplies and developing. Some clothing stores handle both men's and women's clothing, others specialize in one or the other. "Drogerie markt" stores sell mostly American and German brands of foods, cosmetics, and hygiene products--look there for American style breakfast cereal.
