Restrooms

Public restrooms are difficult to find with the exception of facilities at train and bus stations. Most restrooms have an attendant and charge a small fee (usually not more than $0.50 U.S. currency). One pays the fee to the attendant; a tip is not expected. The charge is sometimes different for men and women, with the women's facilities costing slightly more. Sometimes one pays before using the facilties, sometimes after. A traveler is advised to watch what others are doing or ask the attendant. Restaurants and pizzerias usually have restrooms exclusively for the use of their customers; these restrooms do not have attendants, and there is no fee. Gas stations do not typically have restrooms.
