Tajik, or Tajik Persian, is a variety of Persian spoken in Central Asia. It is the official language of Tajikistan and is spoken by over 45 million people worldwide. It is more closely related to Dari (Afghan Persian) than Farsi (Irani Persian) due to political, geographic, and other factors.
