Getting Started

  • Read and listen to the vocabulary in Gaye Chapter XI, pp. 188-189 and pp. 201-202.
  • Look over the dialogues on pp. 191-192 and identify new vocabulary.

Practice Exercises

  • Read, listen to, repeat and memorize the vocabulary in Gaye Chapter XI, pp. 188-189 and pp. 201-202.
  • Read and memorize more information about the past tense on pp. 183-184.
  • Read and memorize the special rural expressions on p. 185.
  • Read the special lessons on health on p. 186 and on agriculture on p. 187.
  • Read the cultural notes on life cycle on p. 190.
  • Read and listen to dialogues in section II, p. 191-192. Memorize one or two of the parts in the dialogue.

Conversation Session Preparation

  • Be prepared to take one of the roles in a recitation of the dialogue.
  • Be prepared to create sentences and responses that include use of the word and concept "don't." 

Self-Assessment
