Turkmen people take pride in their heritage. A rich history reaches back to Parfia, Scythens, the Zariastrians, and Alexander the Great, only to name a few. The cultural museum in Ashgabat features many artifacts from all of the different periods. Above is a picture of traditional women's clothes. Visitors to Turkmenistan often dress up in the exotic traditional clothes of the bride and groom and have their pictures taken.
