Health Services and Emergencies
Emergency numbers can be found posted in any telephone booth or can be requested from the telephone operator.
Both public and private hospitals are safe and hygienic. Private hospitals offer many accommodations that public hospitals do not have; however, the patient is required to pay a fairly high fee. In public hospitals, the patient is treated without having to pay.Free public health clinics can be found in every neighborhood. Dentists operate privately for reasonable fees and practice both in the hospitals and in separate offices.
Since ambulances take so long to arrive in an emergency, it is best to drive the injured person to the hospital unless they cannot be moved.
