Entertainment
Young people mostly go to movies, bars, and discos for entertainment. Adults tend to socialize at one another's houses, although in the bigger cities opera, theater, and the ballet are popular. There are movie theaters in all cities, towns and villages; listings can be found in local newspapers and posters. Most movies are American, shown in English with Romanian subtitles. Theater and movie tickets are relatively inexpensive. Discos and dance clubs have live or recorded music and for the most part, serve only drinks. The clubs have a cover charge and are open to everybody. Since there is no minimum drinking age, no identification is required.
