Portuguese in Angola

Postal Services

During several decades of war, the infrastructure in Angola inevitably suffered hardship. As a result of the danger on the roads and the uncertainties of day-to-day life in certain sections of the country, it is no surprise that the efficiency of the postal service suffered somewhat. In spite of the fact that Angolans came to distrust the ability of the post office to safely deliver mail, faith in that institution is currently being restored.

There is at least one branch of the post office in each district of the city, and one center of postal service in each village. One can also use a commercial delivery service to ensure delivery of any letter or package.
