Banks and Money Exchange
Banks are easily found in Greece. ATM's are generally located outside of the bank or at a location nearby.
Credit cards are generally accepted at large supermarkets, clothing boutiques and major chain stores. At smaller, locally owned stores, cash is used most often. Be sure to check to see if a large surcharge is applied to the use of a credit card.
Money is exchanged both at banks and money exchanges. Unlike banks, money exchanges are often open well into the evening. It is advisable to research the rate of exchange at either agency before exchanging your money. A picture I.D. is required.
