Travel Between Cities

A view of some white buildings in a Moroccan city

Trains are the most popular way to travel between cities. They run through all major cities but may have limited schedules. Tickets are for sale either at the station or, for a small percentage more, on the train. When buying tickets at a station, one may have the option of paying by credit card; however, most travelers pay cash. There are always vendors on board selling various types of food and snacks.

A passenger can choose between first and second class accommodations, both of which are perfectly acceptable. There tends to be more room and less people in first class. For overnight travel sleepers are available. Reservations are not necessary.

Moroccans also use the bus to travel between cities.
