One will not find public restrooms in Morocco except at some of the beaches. In general, everyone uses the facilities in either restaurants or cafés. When doing so, it is polite to make at least a small purchase, but it is not essential. When there is a restroom attendant, one should always leave a tip.

There are no public restrooms in individual stores or even the malls; however, there are available facilities in bus and train stations as well as in airports. One is never permitted to use the restrooms in hotels unless one is a guest.
