Emergency numbers for fire, police and ambulance are posted on pay phones, and calls to those numbers are free. There is an American hospital in Prague; otherwise, the local hospitals or emergency rooms will accept emergency patients. Note that the emergency room of a particular hospital may be in a part of town completely separate from the actual hospital.
