Emergencies

A blue hospital sign

Emergencies can be reported by calling 92 for police, 93 for fire, 94 for medical emergency (ambulance). The emergency numbers should be reserved for life- or limb-threatening situations. Ambulances will take a patient to the nearest emergency room. For stolen property, such as a stolen passport, go to the police station in person to file a report. Each town has a police station, which also serves all villages in the surrounding area. Police drive white and blue cars or circulate on foot patrol; it is permissible to talk to police on duty.
